Day 1 - Burien, WA to LaGrande, OR

We left around 8:15am and got to Issaquah before I remembered that I needed my camera battery charger.  So we turned around and went back home to retrieve that item.  That put us behind about an hour.  It was a typical drive over Snoqualmie Pass with a stop in Ellensburg for fuel.  Then we proceeded down I-82 to  Sunnyside where we stopped at the Darigold store for some curds for snacking on.  By this time the temperatures were in the low 90's.  Our next planned stop was to be Walla Walla where Angela delivered an item to a friend and we once again refueled.  To get to Walla Walla we came in the back way on WA 125 which was a delectable and twisty motorcycle road.   Here's an example of some harvest combining:

Leaving Walla Walla, we headed east on US12 to Clarkston where we turned south on WA129 to be able to ride the "Rattlesnake."  After another refueling stop in Asotin, we rode the Rattlesnake and at the bottom found that the Boggan's Corner restaurant to be open, so we had dinner since it was after 6pm.

The rib steak was delectable and we also bought some T shirts that documented our riding the Rattlesnake to Boggan's Oasis.  This is a must do ride for anyone who likes twisty roads.  We then rode OR3 south to Enterprize hoping to find a motel, but there was no room in the inn as the fair was going on.  So we headed west on OR82 towards La Grande hoping to find a motel, but all were full until we reached LaGrande where we found a super room in the Super8,   The road was difficult to ride for lack of a centerline and a fog line and Angela counted some 13 deer along the ride.

Not too shabby of a room.  .Everything else was full.

Total Miles  592
Game spotted:  13 deer and one wolverine

The plan for tomorrow is to tag 2 Oregon Dams and 1 Idaho dam and spend the night with friends in  Idaho Falls.
